Project Overview
A regional credit union serving 50,000 members needed to modernize their security infrastructure to meet evolving regulatory requirements and protect against increasingly sophisticated cyber threats. Their existing security measures were outdated and fragmented.
The Challenge
Critical security challenges included outdated firewall and intrusion detection systems, lack of network segmentation exposing sensitive systems, inconsistent endpoint protection across branches, gaps in compliance with NCUA and PCI-DSS requirements, and no formal incident response procedures.
Our Solution
We implemented a comprehensive security infrastructure overhaul that included deploying next-generation firewalls with advanced threat protection, implementing zero-trust network architecture with proper segmentation, rolling out unified endpoint detection and response (EDR) across all devices, establishing security operations center (SOC) monitoring, and creating incident response plans and conducting tabletop exercises.
